There has been a lot of hoo-hah going around on the WoW Forums about new playable races. They're saying that in the next expansion, you'll be able to roll a Goblin on Horde or a Worgen on Alliance. Crazy I know. Hear me out. I had the fortune to be trolling the forums at the time of this announcement. Apparently, someone at MMOgamersomethingorother was in the middle of data-mining the latest Player Test Realm data, and found the following textures. Here's the story. Anyways, they've found some new Halloween Masks. Good for them. Granted that the worgen masks don't make a whole lot of sense, this does not mean that Goblins and Worgen are the new playable races. This does make some sense however. Here's a thread on the forums that makes a pretty good case for the alliance getting Worgen. In my opinion, people are getting far too excited about this. While Worgen would be cool, something about it doesn't smell right to me. My thought is that the masks are simply a Halloween Event thing. Maybe Worgen/Werewolves are the theme this year? Who knows... Blizzcon is coming up. I'm sure we'll know more about it then. I'll be sure to mention it when I know something for sure. Moving on...
I dont know if you've heard, but Harmonix and MTV Games are working on a new network that will allow the common user to produce their own Rock Band tracks and sell them on a "song store". They say that this is a great way for fledgling bands to get their name out there. Give em a boost. Honestly, I don't see that happening the way they think. It is, after all, the internet. This really means that every emo fuck with a guitar and a computer will be able to put up their songs about how "my blood turns to ice" and "The strings of my guitar cut deeper than the abyss that is my blackened heart" and so on. This will not end well.
If you can't stand the heat, too fucking bad for you, I guess... |
If you've been keeping up with the WoW forums (and no sane person probably does), you're already aware of the following. Also, if you don't play WoW, this wont matter to you either. Skip the next couple of paragraphs.
